Description

• Develop safe, reliable, and performant self-driving systems • Analyze proposed designs and identify technical approaches • Design and implement engineering processes • Work in a highly cross-functional environment • Apply traditional safety engineering approaches • Develop new practical approaches for Safety Of The Intended Function (SOTIF) • Analyze software and hardware designs • Mitigate faults and execute minimum risk maneuvers • Contribute to the development of the safety case • Provide guidance and mentorship on safety engineering topics • Apply standards such as ISO-26262, ISO 21448 (SOTIF), and UL 4600 • Focus on SOTIF validation • Build and maintain SOTIF scenario ontologies • Identify and implement methodologies for discovery of new/unique scenarios • Develop and guide simulation scenario generation and test plans

Requirements

• Passion for delivering self-driving products • Deep experience in fast-paced tech development environments • Knowledge of safety engineering and hazard analysis • Strong focus on electrical considerations • Ability to think holistically about complex systems • Familiarity with ISO-26262, ISO 21448 (SOTIF), and UL 4600 • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills • Excellent communication and collaboration abilities • Ability to work with software and technologies subject to export control regulations • Compliance with U.S. national security laws and requirements
