Surplex serves primarily B2B customers with listings for metalworking, woodworking, construction, agricultural and transport equipment.

📋 Description

• Manage auction projects at various locations, with a focus on Central Germany • Inspect and catalogue machinery, equipment, and other assets on site at the seller’s premises • Prepare technical descriptions, photographic documentation, and relevant auction information • Structure and prioritize lots together with the seller • Handover relevant information to the Auction Management team • Organize and oversee inspection and collection days • Communicate with buyers, sellers, and internal teams • Coordinate external service providers for dismantling, loading, dispatch, and other logistical processes • Support post-sale activities and ensure the professional handover of lots to buyers • Contribute to the quality, presentation, and performance of the auctions under your responsibility • Collaborate with Auction Management, Account Management, Marketing, and other specialist teams

🎯 Requirements

• Completed technical vocational training, a degree in a technical field, or relevant professional experience in the machinery or industrial sector • Experience as a Project Manager, Service Technician, Site Manager, or in a comparable operational role • Basic understanding of machinery and technical interrelationships, ideally in metalworking or woodworking • Strong organizational skills, a high degree of ownership, and a structured approach to work • Confident and professional manner when dealing with customers, buyers, and service providers • Excellent communication skills, customer focus, and ability to work effectively in a team • Good English skills; additional European languages are a plus • Confident use of digital tools and IT systems • Willingness to travel within Germany, particularly in Central Germany • Willingness to take responsibility on site and present technical information in an understandable way
