Description
• VP of Engineering role at Swan • Help scale Swan during its growth phase • Leading the engineering team • Working closely with the CPO and CTO • Hands-on involvement in architecture, implementation, and team leadership • Remote position in a fully remote company • Assigned to American time zones • Product planning, team structure, and project management • Be inspiring and motivating to engineers • Act as a force multiplier for the engineering team • Balance quick iteration and delivery with long-term investment in scale • Collaborate with other departments • Act as a sounding board for developers making technical and user experience tradeoff decisions • Help with architectural decisions • Recruit and hire team members • Infrastructure and security experience is a major plus • Experience leading a team of 30+ engineers • Strong background in mobile with experience shipping production apps • Located in US time zones (Pacific to Eastern)
Requirements
• Solid technical background • Excellent interpersonal skills • Experience as a developer • Strong network of developers for recruiting and hiring • Infrastructure and security experience • 15 years of technical expertise with 5-10 years in team leadership • Strong tradeoff and decision-making skills • Solid background in mobile • Located in US time zones
