Description
• Designing, implementing, and innovating compiler and optimization algorithms • Implementing and enhancing smart contract services on Hedera network • Contributing to open source code clients • Contributing to VM state processing parallelization • Developing aspects of the Hedera Hashgraph Distributed Ledger Ecosystem • Being a strong and proficient hands-on programmer • Spending 80% of time on designing, coding, and testing
Requirements
• Experience with distributed open-source application development • Excellent debugging, critical thinking, and interpersonal skills • Experience with compilers, parsers, interpreters, and garbage collectors • Experience with performance, static code, and data-flow analysis • Expertise in the Java programming language and its ecosystem • Deep knowledge and experience with the Java VM • Strong grasp of Computer Science fundamentals • Strong engineering principles for high-quality code • Familiarity with security principles and cryptographic tools • Familiarity with high-performance systems and design patterns • Familiarity with test-driven software development and continuous integration • 7+ years of software development experience • Master’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent work experience • Knowledge of Ethereum blockchain is a plus • Experience with smart contracts for an EVM-based ledger • Experience with web3 tools in JavaScript or TypeScript • Experience with blockchain protocol development • EVM Client development
