📋 Description

• Prepare corporate and personal tax returns under supervision, with opportunities to build deeper tax expertise • Assist in year-end bookkeeping and accounting processes under guidance • Manage day-to-day bookkeeping tasks including accounts payable, accounts receivable, reconciliations, and financial reporting • Support tax advisory work and financial calculations using Excel and Google/MS Suite tools • Ensure accuracy and compliance of financial records in collaboration with the accounting team • Participate in continuous learning related to tax regulations, accounting standards, and best practices • Perform other administrative or ad-hoc accounting tasks as required

🎯 Requirements

• Experience in preparing corporate and/or personal tax returns • Background in bookkeeping and general accounting functions • Proficiency in QuickBooks, Microsoft Excel, and Google Workspace/MS Office Suite • Strong attention to detail, organization, and ability to manage multiple tasks • Good written and verbal communication skills • High level of accuracy and confidentiality in handling financial data • Willingness to learn and adapt to new accounting systems, tools, and tax regulations • Prior experience in an accounting or CPA firm is an advantage • Knowledge of tax software (e.g., TaxCycle) is a plus • Nice to Have • Experience working with Canadian accounting standards • Exposure to advisory or high-growth firm environments • Experience supporting accountants or controllers in month-end close processes
