Description
• Translate business needs to technical specifications • Design, build, and deploy Microsoft Power BI interactive and paginated reports and semantic models. • Evaluate, maintain, support, and improve existing Power BI reports and models • Conduct integration testing and troubleshooting • Collaborate with teams to integrate systems • Develop and execute data queries and conduct analyses • Create visualizations and reports for requested projects • Develop and update technical documentation
Requirements
• Must be US Citizen and local to the DC area • Proven experience as a Microsoft Power BI Developer or Data Engineer • Familiar with dimensional modeling • Understanding of database management systems, ETL (Extract, transform, load) frameworks, and SQL language. • Experience creating interactive reports and dashboards in Microsoft Power BI using the standard visuals • Experience creating paginated reports in Microsoft Power BI, SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS) or similar report framework. • Experience manipulating and cleaning data using Transform Data and Power Query M query formula language. • Comfortable writing simple DAX expressions to build measures and calculated columns. • Familiarity with Dynamics 365 & Dataverse • Familiarity with Azure Synapse Link for Dataverse • Familiarity with Microsoft Azure • Familiarity with source control and deployment pipelines • Proven abilities to take initiative and be innovative • Ability to demonstrate attention to detail and produce high quality, accurate reports from high-level requirements • Analytical mind with a problem-solving aptitude • Excellent communication and collaboration skills • Certification as Microsoft Certified: Power BI Data Analyst Associate a plus
