📋 Description

• Own all procurement activities for hardware programs from initial design through series production • Drive end-to-end procurement for project packages from early design through qualification to series production • Work with Engineering on BOM cost, technical feasibility, supplier selection, design-to-cost and design-to-scale • Run RFQs, commercial evaluations and supplier negotiations on price, terms, IP and liability • Close contracts for high-value components • Build scalable fast-track procurement workflows • Own EBOM-to-MBOM conversion in the ERP, including master data management, configuration management, batch control and traceability • Monitor the procurement critical path and define mitigation strategies such as dual-sourcing and buffering • Own the project budget and KPIs and report status to management • Serve as the procurement interface between Project Management, Engineering, Quality, Finance and external suppliers • Represent Procurement in steering committees and drive commercial decisions • Ensure adherence to export control regulations, traceability requirements and ISO 9001 / AS/EN 9100 aerospace standards • Build a procurement team as the company scales

🎯 Requirements

• Completed a degree in engineering or vocational training as an industrial clerk, business administration or supply chain management, mechanical or electrical engineering, logistics, procurement and materials management, or a comparable technical or commercial field • Several years in project or technical procurement in a hardware environment, ideally aerospace, defense, automotive or electronics • At least one ramp-up from prototype to series • Confident negotiation of high-value contracts, including price, terms, IP and liability • Ability to read a BOM and drawings and translate technical requirements into sourcing decisions • Hands-on experience with ERP and BOM structures • Familiarity with export control, traceability and ISO 9001 or AS/EN 9100 • Comfortable in a fast-moving startup where processes do not yet exist • Clear communication in German and English • Nice to have: first experience leading buyers or a small procurement team, or clear wish to build one • Nice to have: background in EMS, electronics, batteries, optics or additive manufacturing • Nice to have: experience with defense or dual-use programs and export control logic
