Description

• You would become part of a team responsible for building and further developing a data platform • Opportunity to work across several development teams in Twilio • Build services at scale using the latest technologies • Ensure necessary data gets stored and made available to improve Twilio core services • Write tests to achieve high levels of code coverage • Deploy code to the cloud and maintain operational excellence • Mentor junior engineers • Support diversity, equity & inclusion in the workplace

Requirements

• Experience with cloud services (AWS preferred, Google, Azure etc.) • 4-8+ years of experience with building, maintaining and scaling backend services in Java • Experience with AWS DynamoDB, ElasticSearch or Kafka • Experience with Big Data Processing Tools and Frameworks • Exposure to service-oriented architectures, microservices and REST APIs • Design and operate reliable, scalable systems • Readiness to participate in the on-call rotation • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related field • Strong communication and soft skills • Curious mindset • Desired: Experience in development of large scale services, Working with technical and non-technical stakeholders, Ability to communicate highly technical concepts effectively
