📋 Description

• Generate qualified opportunities within insurance companies through outbound prospecting (phone, email, social selling) and inbound lead follow-up • Leverage AI-driven tools to identify buying signals and tailor outreach • Research target accounts and identify key stakeholders, industry trends, and business needs to map stakeholders, uncover pains and align outreach • Conduct initial qualification conversations with insurance prospects, positioning Varicent’s solutions effectively • Qualify leads using sales methodologies such as MEDDICC • Collaborate closely with Account Executives and marketing to align messaging and pipeline development strategies in the insurance vertical • Maintain accurate and up-to-date information in Salesforce and engagement tools (e.g., Salesloft) • Continuously refine outreach tactics based on performance metrics and feedback • Contribute ideas to improve campaign content and team processes

🎯 Requirements

• 1–2 years of experience in a SaaS sales, business development, or SDR/BDR role • Proven ability to consistently meet or exceed prospecting and meeting booking KPIs • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal • Familiarity with tools like Salesforce, Salesloft, LinkedIn Sales Navigator, or similar platforms • Curiosity around AI-enabled tools • Proactive mindset and desire to learn about the insurance vertical, Sales Performance Management, Incentive Compensation and Sales Planning • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, collaborative environment • Demonstrated ability to adapt and iterate based on performance insights • Bonus points: • Exposure to MEDDICC or similar sales qualification frameworks • Experience working with marketing teams to tailoring outbound messaging • Previous experience in software/SaaS sales targeting enterprise or mid-market clients in insurance or financial services
