πŸ“‹ Description

β€’ Must be available for at least one (1) ~60 day rotation OCONUS annually, plus additional training/screening events. β€’ Provide full-spectrum emergency medicine in austere and limited resource environments β€’ Perform examinations, making diagnoses and treating or prescribing a course of treatment for patients with routine and emergency conditions β€’ Provide consultation and advice to patients and customers as the emergency medicine SME β€’ Work with members of a small team β€’ Assist a general surgeon and anesthesia provider in the provision of perioperative care β€’ Conduct and supervise direct patient care, including damage control resuscitation in an austere environment with limited resources β€’ Plan and conduct Critical Care Air Transport (CCAT) missions for ICU level patients β€’ Based on qualifications and experience, may function in a leadership position β€’ Supervise attached medical personnel (Physician Assistants, Nurses, Medics, etc.) as required β€’ Document care provided and complete medical records in accordance with VIGILINT policy β€’ Perform special staff functions as required

🎯 Requirements

β€’ Active SECRET or higher security clearance β€’ Current and unrestricted license to practice medicine in the United States, District of Columbia or Puerto Rico β€’ Current Board Certification through the American Board of Emergency Medicine or American Osteopathic Board of Emergency Medicine β€’ Current/active civilian practice to maintain clinical currency during non-deployed periods β€’ Minimum eight (8) years’ experience as an Emergency Physician β€’ Minimum five (5) years U.S. Military or Government Sponsored experience β€’ U.S. Military or Government Sponsored deployment within the last three (3) years in an austere environment and combat-like conditions β€’ Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO) degree from an accredited U.S. school of medicine or osteopathy β€’ Experience as staff or attending physician in a high volume/high acuity or critical access environment β€’ Deployment experience in austere and combat-like conditions in Role 1, 2, or 3 facilities β€’ United States citizen β€’ Current ACLS, PALS, & BLS training through American Heart Association or Red Cross β€’ Current and unrestricted DEA license β€’ Current United States Passport that will not expire within 1-year of employment β€’ Successful candidates may be invited for an in-person assessment process β€’ Must be a legal resident of one of the 50 U.S. states; residency in a U.S. territory does not meet this requirement. β€’ **Strongly Desired Qualifications:** β€’ Experience working in the Military Special Operations Community β€’ Previous Forward Resuscitation Surgical Team/Forward Surgical Team (FRST/FST) or equivalent deployment experience β€’ TS/SCI security clearance β€’ Ability to lift 150 pounds with assistance; carry 80 pounds a distance of 30 feet and push/pull over 200 pounds, must meet the anthropometric standards of assigned platform
