Description
• In a fast paced, high expectation, results oriented environment, the Asset Resolution Analyst will be responsible for managing a portfolio of non-performing real estate collateralized commercial loans and REO. Core responsibilities include the development, implementation and monitoring (while working with outside counsel) of appropriate collection, loss mitigation and recovery strategies, weekly reporting and quarterly file analysis. • Managing and monitoring a non-performing real estate collateralized commercial loan portfolio, including REO, toward most effective and efficient resolution • Conducting proactive and effective portfolio management in accordance with established performance standards • Monitoring and managing commercial litigation/bankruptcy/foreclosure activities, functions and deadlines • Directing/monitoring/liaising with in-house and outside attorneys, collection agencies and other vendors that support the loss mitigation effort • Interacting with customers and their counsel • Negotiating and preparing settlement agreements • Preparing bidding instructions • Monitoring loss mitigation workout performance and loss severity trends • Implementing and communicating loss mitigation decisions • Maintaining delinquency and loss mitigation reporting, including trend analysis and assessment • Conducting comprehensive analysis of debtors' financial position, credit status, personal background, and historical payment performance • Facilitating negotiation and conflict resolution • Performing extensive quarterly review of portfolio being managed to confirm or reassess recovery estimates • Monitoring related expenses (taxes, maintenance, utilities, fees, etc.) and timely proposing protective advances • Assisting in budget preparation for the Asset Resolution Department • Other projects and duties as assigned
Requirements
• Law degree (from a nationally accredited U.S. law school is preferred) • Experience working in commercial litigation/bankruptcy/foreclosure/real estate loss mitigation • Demonstrated ability to successfully manage non-performing loan pools and REO • Experience supervising/developing/mentoring a case management staff • Litigation experience and familiarity with litigation management tools • Strong organization, decision-making and negotiation skills • Strong knowledge of applicable U.S. legal/regulatory guidelines, including bankruptcy and foreclosure • Demonstrated analytical and reasoning skills, and innovative approach to solving both practical and theoretical problems • Proficiency in all Microsoft Office applications • Strong work ethic with ability to thrive in a dynamic, deadline-driven environment • You must have your own laptop or desktop to use (the company does not supply equipment) • Excellent English fluency and communication skills, both written and verbal
