📋 Description

• Develop and implement scalable and reliable software solutions using core Java, Kafka, cache, and other modern technologies • Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code • Participate in code reviews and collaborate with team members to ensure high code quality • Troubleshoot and resolve issues in a timely and efficient manner • Learn new technologies and switch between technology stacks with minimal difficulty • Stay abreast of industry best practices and emerging technologies • Help develop, drive, and execute implementation in an engineering team for WEX Transaction Systems platform applications • Contribute to cloud-native solutions for card swipe authorization and clearing transaction processing on WEX's fuel card platform

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field • Great software development experience, including experience developing and supporting cloud-based infrastructure as code • Strong understanding of data structures and algorithms, object-oriented design, and problem-solving skills • Experience designing, implementing, and operating cache (Redis or Valkey) solutions in cloud-based, high-throughput systems • Experience with Docker and orchestration tools like Kubernetes for deployment • Experience with event streaming platforms such as Kafka • Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS • Experience with logging, metrics, and tracing tools such as Grafana and Splunk • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, and a collaborative mindset
