Description
• Defining and implementing Clutch's data governance framework and strategy. • Collaborating with engineering leadership, product managers, and stakeholders to prioritize projects and align team efforts with company goals. • Recruiting and hiring of new team members, ensuring that the team is staffed with the necessary skills and expertise. • Leading a team of high-performing individuals, supporting them through 1:1s and continuous feedback, supporting their professional growth as well as performance issues. • Creating an inclusive and innovative team culture that encourages experimentation and creativity. • Effectively communicating technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. • Championing engineering excellence and facilitating architecture/design discussions. • Participating in our incident escalation process, helping us bring incidents to a conclusion, calmly, and without blame.
Requirements
• 5+ years of experience in data engineering, with at least 2 years in a management role. • Deep knowledge of data architecture, modeling, and visualization tools. • Strong leadership and people management skills, including performance management, career development, and employee engagement. • Experience with software engineering practices like code review, pair programming, automated testing, and continuous delivery (CI/CD). • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously. • Excellent written and verbal English communication skills.
