• Lead and advise the Asia Pacific regional office on Child Protection and Education issues, including technical programming, safeguarding, and external positioning • Strengthen Field Office capabilities in education and child protection programming, advocacy, external engagement, digital literacy, data analysis, partnerships, and contextualisation • Develop and apply innovative and adaptive approaches to address evolving child education and protection challenges • Represent the South Asia and Pacific Regional Office in strategic child protection and education networks and forums • Lead regional Child Protection and Education Communities of Practice and participate in relevant global Communities of Practice • Provide technical guidance on programme design, implementation, evaluation, safeguarding integration, and alignment with global strategy • Use education and child protection data to identify trends and inform regional and Field Office decisions • Translate evidence and insights into recommendations for programme adaptation, advocacy, donor engagement, and external influence • Support expansion of the regional Child Participation platform and country-level platforms • Coach Field Office Education Leads and support annual education impact monitoring, data quality assurance, and regional education impact analysis • Participate in designing and implementing education curricula for primary literacy and adolescent life skills • Implement pilot projects using digital apps, SMS platforms, and social media campaigns • Develop and nurture strategic partnerships with regional coalitions, networks, civil society organisations, and priority stakeholders • Support concept notes, proposals, donor engagement products, funding, research, advocacy, and programming initiatives • Improve the regional evidence base through research, data utilisation, knowledge management, and thought leadership • Provide overall technical leadership and guidance to regional and Field Office colleagues • Travel domestically and internationally up to 30% of the time
• Master’s degree or equivalent in Education, Social Work, International Development, Child Development, or a related field • Demonstrated experience working and living in the Asia-Pacific region • Strong technical expertise in education and child protection, including Age 6–11 literacy and numeracy and adolescent life skills • Five years of project management experience in an international NGO • Highly developed external engagement and networking skills • Strong project management skills, including research and development of programming models • Excellent writing skills demonstrated through technical documents, thought pieces, and proposals • Flexibility and versatility in a changing work environment while maintaining effectiveness and efficiency • Ability to motivate and develop staff • Experience leading a task force or Community of Practice • Understanding of safeguarding risks and challenges, including child protection and prevention of sexual exploitation and abuse • Strong understanding of global strategies and frameworks to end violence against children and support primary and secondary education and life skills • Knowledge of legal international conventions related to child protection • Strong negotiation, networking, liaison, and donor engagement skills • Proficiency using Excel, Microsoft Suite products, databases, and statistical packages • High-level influence, strategic engagement, and tactical delivery skills • Ability to think broadly and assess macro strategic issues to inform strategy choices and management • Demonstrated proficiency in written and spoken English • Ability and willingness to travel domestically and internationally up to 30% of the time • Local applicants only; candidates must be based in the Asia-Pacific region or eligible neighbouring countries where World Vision International is legally registered to operate • All CVs must be submitted in English
