📋 Description

• Develop creative, effective, and collaborative financial solutions for public and private funding streams supporting the restoration of Brazil’s native vegetation. • Structure and develop financial solutions to enable native vegetation restoration at scale in Brazil. • Connect public and private instruments, value chains, and territories. • Work on the Green Finance for Restoration agenda and contribute to the strategic planning and implementation of initiatives led by WWF-Brazil’s Green Finance and Native Vegetation Restoration Circles. • Design, implement, and operationalize financial mechanisms to restore Brazilian biomes. • Build and develop Green Finance strategies with private companies, civil society, federal and state governments, the Ministry of the Environment and Climate Change, investors, and banking institutions. • Contribute to the implementation of PLANAVEG through financial instruments and the engagement of public and private stakeholders. • Structure financing mechanisms and arrangements for native vegetation restoration. • Promote alignment with relevant governmental and nongovernmental organizations. • Maintain an advocacy network with restoration and carbon companies, investors, and buyers in relevant value chains. • Identify, assess, and support the mobilization of financial resources from investors, financial institutions, and the private sector. • Translate restoration strategy needs into viable financial solutions. • Prepare work plans, Terms of Reference, reports, and technical documents. • Lead the technical execution and financial monitoring of projects and activities. • Contribute to the technical direction of the restoration finance agenda. • Support impact and results monitoring. • Support the production of communications and engagement materials, such as studies and videos. • Represent WWF-Brazil before the WWF Network, NGOs, government, the private sector, research institutes, financial institutions, and other organizations. • Work at the interface between the Restoration and Green Finance Circles, ensuring strategic alignment and integration of the agendas.

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in economics, finance, or a related field. • Advanced English proficiency for communication, comprehension, and writing in meetings with international stakeholders and for producing materials and reports. • At least 5 years of professional experience in Restoration Finance, including finance applied to climate, biodiversity, land use, agriculture, or nature-based solutions. • Demonstrated experience structuring financial mechanisms or instruments. • Demonstrated experience mobilizing resources from investors or financial institutions. • Demonstrated experience developing financial models applied to climate, biodiversity, or land use. • Demonstrated experience in carbon markets. • Demonstrated experience with private financial mechanisms or public financing. • Experience engaging with the private sector, financial institutions, investors, government, or multi-stakeholder platforms. • Knowledge of native vegetation restoration (preferred). • Experience analyzing the economic and financial feasibility of projects or mechanisms (preferred). • Willingness to travel (preferred). • Organization, project management, self-management, results orientation, teamwork, curiosity, ability to engage multiple stakeholders, agenda integration, clear communication, proactivity, and the ability to work in complex and loosely structured contexts.
