📋 Description

• Serve as the senior-most India-based leader and statutory Board Director/General Manager of Zapier's India entity • Ensure full legal, tax, financial, and regulatory compliance for the India entity • Bridge Zapier's global strategy and local execution • Report to the Chief Operating Officer and Chief Financial Officer • Partner with India-based managers, the Operating Committee, Deloitte, external auditors, regulators, and global leadership • Own India operations and drive delivery and performance across India-based functions • Serve as the primary liaison between India operations and global leadership • Lead overall India operations and provide regular updates to US leadership • Establish governance rhythms and drive a high-performance, high-autonomy, values-driven remote team • Attend board meetings, approve minutes and resolutions, and sign statutory filings • Act as primary contact for external auditors and Indian regulatory authorities • Partner on tax filings, audits, transfer pricing, and regulatory matters • Own India people decisions including hiring, compensation, performance, and terminations • Partner with HR on people strategy, talent decisions, employee relations, and local policy implementation • Ensure compliance with Indian labor law, including POSH and state-specific requirements • Manage local vendor relationships • Identify, monitor, and mitigate key risks to India's operations

🎯 Requirements

• 15–20+ years of experience • 5+ years in India site leadership, GM, COO, or country-head-type roles for multinational companies • Strong business acumen • Ability to manage stakeholders in a global, matrix organization • Strong knowledge of financial, legal entity, and statutory compliance, audit, tax, and transfer pricing • Demonstrated experience working with Big 4 firms and/or legal counsel on India entity matters • Experience with hiring, performance management, employee relations, and exits in an Indian context • Comfortable taking on statutory director responsibilities and signing board and compliance documents, including personal liability • Effective communication and ability to drive results in a complex, matrixed environment • Prior experience setting up or scaling a Global Capability Center in India is nice to have • Must be authorized to work from the home location; Zapier does not sponsor visas or transfers
