📋 Description

• Learn and utilize actuarial techniques and procedures • Analyze data, develop material, and prepare communications • Compile and organize data for actuarial review • Prepare reports, proposals, system documents, filing support, and documentation files • Support projects as required • Develop pricing and/or reserving for property/casualty insurance coverage and products • Formulate and interpret mathematical ratemaking and/or reserving models • Perform ad hoc analyses, including classification, inflation, and tail factor analyses • Support state and regulatory filings and respond to auditor and DOI inquiries • Gather and verify data with IT and business technical support • Apply actuarial methods and principles to obtain indications, complete projects, analyze results, and make recommendations • Research suitable trend indications • Communicate findings and make oral presentations to business units • Represent the department on inter-department teams • Execute scheduled rate reviews and indications • Analyze and prepare competitive product and rate comparison reports • Analyze competitors’ rate structures and coverage

🎯 Requirements

• Eligible to lawfully work in the U.S. immediately • Employer will not sponsor U.S. work authorization • Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, Actuarial Science, Statistics, or a related field • Successful completion of one or more actuarial examinations prior to or within 18 months of hire • Maintain eligibility in the Actuarial Professional Development Program • Experience performing research and statistical analysis • Experience with PC software applications such as Word, Excel, and PowerPoint • Knowledge of statistical software tools and/or statistical modeling concepts • Ability to prepare and present material • Ability to manage workflow to achieve multiple goals • Ability to work individually and as part of a team • Preferred: successful completion of one or more CAS or SOA examinations • Preferred: demonstrated experience utilizing actuarial concepts in business and analytical decision-making • Knowledge of insurance industry terminology and concepts • Background and drug screen required upon employment offer • Regular and reliable attendance is essential
