📋 Description

• Serve as Subject Matter Expert on large global infrastructure projects requiring cross-functional IT partnership • Partner with architects and engineers to plan, design, implement, enable, promote, and assist adoption of DevOps methodologies and standards • Promote and provide expert guidance on Agile development and Agile infrastructure principles and practices • Guide teams on Infrastructure as Code, provisioning, continuous integration, delivery and deployment, and test automation • Focus on future cloud-based technology growth options supporting organizational maturity • Plan, design, implement, and educate teams on DevOps tools, practices, cloud platforms, AWS, and GCP • Provide organizational leadership to identify and remove infrastructure and system-level impediments limiting productivity and quality • Identify and implement process improvements supporting DevOps methodologies and cloud usage • Track and provide feedback on DevOps adoption • Provide direction and design solutions for infrastructure, security, deployment, scaling, metrics, and IT operations • Conduct technology reviews and internal audits to ensure solutions meet business and security needs

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field or an equivalent level of work experience • 8+ years of experience overseeing mission-critical enterprise-level systems • 8 years of experience working with virtual machines, virtual networking, and storage using third-party infrastructure • Experience with Infrastructure as Code implementation and developing CloudFormation templates • Production experience developing and employing GCP and/or AWS cloud services • Strong understanding of IAM, networking, VPC, interconnectivity, load balancing, DNS, compute, VMs, containers, managed relational and NoSQL databases, object stores, file stores, KMS, and encryption in transit • 5+ years’ experience administering and troubleshooting Linux-based systems • 2+ years’ experience with Docker • Broad experience developing cloud migration solutions • Experience installing, configuring, and troubleshooting Nginx, Apache HTTP, Jetty, and Tomcat • Ability to work through the full project lifecycle: discovery, analysis, architecture, design, documentation, building, migration, automation, and readiness • Ability to configure and install relational databases • Experience installing and configuring monitoring and metrics collection solutions, including Nagios, Cacti, Ganglia, CollectD, Graphite, and/or New Relic • Load and performance testing and analysis • Scripting experience with Python and Bash • AWS Certification a plus • Production AWS support • Hybrid and multi-cloud architecture • Security engineering • Cloud platform design and troubleshooting • Secure cloud platform design • Multi-region architecture • High availability patterns • Cloud observability • Production support patterns • Cloud troubleshooting • Regular and reliable attendance is essential • Must consent to a background and drug screen if offered employment
