📋 Description

• Assess, develop, monitor, improve, and report on suppliers and supplier quality performance • Execute Supplier Quality duties including auditing, FAIRs, nonconformance investigation, corrective action assignments, issue resolution, documentation, and reporting • Develop, maintain, and deploy quality plans and activities translating customer requirements into planned activities • Provide technical training and mentorship to junior engineers, technicians, inspectors, and junior quality engineers • Analyze program requirements and prepare quality plans, procedures, schedules, and resource allocations • Review and approve engineering, test, contractor, and supplier documentation • Perform internal audits and ensure implementation of root-cause corrective actions • Lead product quality improvement teams, Material Review Boards, and participate in Failure Review Boards • Evaluate and dispose of non-conforming material • Support Assembly, Test, and Inspection personnel through workmanship improvement plans, inspection methods, criteria, sampling plans, specification interpretation/revision, and non-conforming material processing • Resolve customer quality issues and drive root cause and corrective action for process and product quality issues • Assist in developing and deploying SPC initiatives • Analyze and execute projects independently • Communicate with company personnel and customers • Evaluate critical supplier selections and drive supplier continuous improvement, including on-site audits, prototype evaluation, and supplier corrective-action review/approval • Lead and execute customer quality program requirements • Develop statistical reports on inspection and testing results and recommend actions • Establish programs evaluating production, processing, testing, measurement, and analytical equipment and facility precision and accuracy • Consider financial impacts of quality process controls and inspections • Attend customer, business, and program meetings • Prepare quality engineering reports and recommendations • Provide regular progress and status reporting • Complete assigned tasks on time and meet technical requirements

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related technical field or equivalent experience • 5+ years of relevant experience in supplier quality engineering • Competent technical expertise and application domain knowledge • Experience with ISO Standards, Six Sigma tools, and statistics • ASQ certification or Black Belt preferred • Ability to understand military specifications and read blueprints • Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, communication, and writing skills • Ability to define problems and drive to root cause and effective corrective action • Willing and able to travel up to 30% of the time
