📋 Description

• Estimate and complete development tasks, including coding, requirements gathering, and analysis • Practice technical and communication skills to improve context knowledge and mentor junior developers • Assess and diagnose issues with owned systems, prioritizing problem areas across practice areas • Participate in on-call rotations as necessary • Present and write about work for internal and external audiences • Participate in planning sessions and build understanding of major architectures and design patterns • Support recruiting by evaluating homework assignments and potentially assisting with interviews • Drive improvements in team engineering processes and practices • Apply understanding of the business, practice interactions, and customer problems • Support scope, schedule, and delivery requirements with leadership guidance • Interact with stakeholders to improve software engineering processes and practices

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree and 5+ years of professional software engineering experience; relevant professional experience may be substituted for education where permitted • Must meet applicable contractual or labor category requirements related to education and professional experience • Advanced-level knowledge in at least one technical discipline, including front-end, back-end, full-stack, or infrastructure engineering • Experience designing, developing, testing, and maintaining production software applications • Experience troubleshooting complex technical issues and contributing to scalable, maintainable software solutions • Ability to communicate technical concepts effectively to technical and non-technical audiences • Preferred: experience across front-end and back-end technologies in a full-stack environment • Preferred: experience designing, building, and maintaining modern web applications and APIs • Preferred: experience with modern JavaScript frameworks such as React, Angular, or Vue • Preferred: experience with back-end technologies such as Java, Python, Node.js, or similar languages and frameworks • Preferred: experience with relational and/or NoSQL databases • Preferred: familiarity with AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud • Preferred: experience with CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and modern software development practices • Preferred: experience in Agile or iterative development environments • Preferred: experience mentoring engineers or providing technical guidance • Preferred: experience collaborating with clients, product teams, designers, and technical stakeholders • Preferred: experience supporting government or federal programs • Preferred: familiarity with accessibility, security, performance, and scalable application design practices
