• Estimate and complete development tasks, including coding, requirements gathering, and analysis • Support scope, schedule, and delivery requirements • Interact with stakeholders and drive improvements in engineering processes and practices • Practice technical and communication skills and mentor junior developers • Assess and diagnose issues with owned systems and prioritize problem areas • Participate in on-call rotations as necessary • Present and write about work for internal and external audiences • Participate in planning sessions and build understanding of major architectures and design patterns • Support recruiting by evaluating homework assignments and potentially assisting with interviews • Develop and maintain Drupal websites and applications hosted on Acquia • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features • Write readable, efficient, and testable code • Troubleshoot and debug issues • Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback • Document successful solutions and usage instructions
• 5+ years of program engineering experience (C#, JAVA/J2EE, etc) • Proven experience with Drupal development • Strong proficiency in front-end and back-end technologies • Experience with HTML, CSS, JavaScript, PHP, and MySQL • Familiarity with Apache configurations • Excellent problem-solving skills • Strong communication and teamwork skills • Progressive experience with relevant technologies and understanding of how work impacts business goals • Must be a U.S. Citizen • Must successfully complete and maintain the required federal Public Trust background investigation and suitability determination • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field • Relevant years of experience may be substituted for education • Preferred: experience developing and maintaining Drupal websites and applications hosted on Acquia • Preferred: ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features • Preferred: ability to write readable, efficient, and testable code • Preferred: troubleshooting and debugging experience • Preferred: knowledge of industry trends and technologies • Preferred: code review experience • Preferred: ability to document successful solutions and usage instructions
