📋 Description

• Architect, implement, and maintain backend services for file storage, permission synchronization, and third-party integrations at enterprise scale • Design and build event-driven systems for real-time permission propagation across Addepar’s financial graph and external storage providers • Meet compliance revocation SLAs • Collaborate with product managers, engineers, security, and compliance partners on sensitive data access-control projects • Contribute to migration efforts such as FileVault to Box, webhook consolidation, and folder structure evolution • Ensure zero-downtime production rollouts • Mentor engineers and promote engineering best practices • Build AI-powered capabilities for intelligent file processing, automated metadata extraction, and content-aware workflows • Evaluate emerging third-party file platform capabilities

🎯 Requirements

• 7+ years of professional backend software engineering experience • B.S. or M.S. in Computer Science or similar technical field of study • Experience with server-side languages such as Java, Python, or C++ • Experience with relational databases including MySQL, Postgres, or SQL Server • Ability to complete complex projects involving partners across multiple teams • Excellent written and verbal communication skills • Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States for any employer without current or future visa sponsorship • Must be authorized to begin work in the U.S. on the first day of employment • Bonus: Experience building scalable cloud infrastructure on AWS • Bonus: Experience working with file system vendors
