📋 Description

• Lead, develop, and manage estimating activities for complex nuclear projects, including new builds, modifications, and decommissioning • Lead estimators preparing Class 5 to Class 2 AACE International construction estimates • Establish, implement, and maintain company-wide estimating standards, procedures, and templates • Develop detailed cost models covering direct labor, materials, equipment, and subcontractor pricing, including self-perform work • Support the estimating proposal process from RFP/RFQ analysis through final bid submission • Identify and manage risks, conduct quantitative analysis such as Monte Carlo analysis, and plan contingencies • Collaborate with Project Controls, Scheduling, Engineering, and Procurement to integrate cost baselines and plan work packages • Prepare and present estimate results to executive leadership and clients • Monitor pricing trends, maintain historical cost databases, and conduct post-project reviews • Ensure estimates comply with nuclear regulatory standards, QA/QC requirements, and applicable federal guidelines

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Construction Management, or a related field or practical experience • 10–15+ years of progressive estimating experience in heavy industrial EPC environments • Minimum of 3–5 years focused on nuclear projects • Experience leading teams of estimators and managing complex, high-value bids • Expert-level knowledge of MS Excel • Familiarity with estimating software, including InEight Hard Dollar, WinEst, Sage, Microsoft 365 suite, and Adobe Acrobat • Ability to interpret complex technical drawings, specifications, and 3D models • Understanding of nuclear regulatory standards, QA/QC compliance, and labor productivity factors • U.S. citizenship required to meet nuclear facility access, federal eligibility, and security clearance requirements • Professional certification such as CCP or CCEA preferred • Experience with SMR technologies or new build initiatives preferred • Active Q or L security clearance desired • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills • High attention to detail and ability to work under pressure to meet tight deadlines • Strong negotiating skills, particularly with subcontractors and vendor pricing
