📋 Description

• Own the complete proposal lifecycle from initial opportunity assessment to final submission of complex, must-win proposals • Manage new business and retention opportunities • Develop and maintain detailed project schedules • Document client requirements • Assign, communicate, and track responsibilities across cross-functional teams • Ensure proposals adhere to compliance standards and RFP instructions • Identify risks early and implement solutions to maintain timelines and proposal quality • Shape proposal strategy, messaging, and structure to highlight Alight’s value • Customize standard content to align with each client’s goals and unique needs • Draft or refine executive summaries and technical sections • Partner with sales, legal, finance, product, and subject matter experts to gather and synthesize inputs • Collaborate with graphics teams to align visuals and messaging • Mentor junior proposal team members as needed

🎯 Requirements

• 8–12+ years of proposal management experience, ideally in the benefits industry • Ability to lead multiple high-stakes projects simultaneously • Exceptional writing, editing, and persuasive communication skills • Influential leadership, collaboration, and detail orientation under strict deadlines • Advanced proficiency with MS Office, including SharePoint, Word, and Excel • Advanced proficiency with Adobe Acrobat • Proficiency with RFP/proposal software • Ability to synthesize complex information and tailor messaging for diverse audiences • Work authorization in the United States that does not now or in the future require visa sponsorship • Successful completion of a background check, as applicable to the position
