📋 Description

• Extend and maintain the Phoenix API powering the customer-facing configurator and internal admin tools • Implement pricing and structural calculation logic from engineering specifications • Cover calculation and pricing logic with tests • Build and maintain Oban background processing for CRM synchronization, data ingestion, manufacturing file delivery, alerting, daily digests, and factory distance calculations • Integrate third-party systems including Zoho, Braintree, Microsoft Entra ID, AWS S3, and manufacturing systems • Develop internal Phoenix LiveView admin screens • Collaborate with the front-end developer on API contracts • Conduct code reviews • Maintain CI and shepherd releases through development, staging, and production environments

🎯 Requirements

• Four or more years building and running backend systems in production • Elixir and Phoenix experience, or a strong functional/backend background with a real appetite to work in Elixir • Solid relational database skills, including SQL, schema design, migrations, and query performance • Comfort with numerically heavy business logic, correctness, unit consistency, and floating-point behaviour • Testing as a habit; experience maintaining comprehensive test suites • Experience integrating third-party APIs, including REST, OAuth, webhooks, and failure handling • Confidence with Git, pull request review, Docker, and CI/CD pipelines • Ability to interpret non-programmer domain specifications, implement them, and clarify ambiguities • Proactive self-starter able to take ownership, set priorities, work independently, and communicate progress • Availability during the range of team time zones from UTC+2 to UTC+7 • Nice to have: Oban or comparable background job systems at scale • Nice to have: JWT authentication and single sign-on, particularly Microsoft Entra ID • Nice to have: Payment gateway integration • Nice to have: Static analysis discipline, Dialyzer specs, and Credo • Nice to have: Exposure to construction, manufacturing, structural engineering, CAD, or physical-product configurators • Engineering degree is not required
