📋 Description

• Own, develop, implement, and operate Allstate's cloud platforms • Develop, build, administer, and deploy self-service tools for cloud-native application development, deployment, and operation • Anchor shared and collective team knowledge about owned and managed systems • Lead engineering teams in building new platform products and services • Ensure SLAs are met for operational tasks and customer requests • Improve system and team efficiency through engineering practices • Establish paired programming, test-driven development, infrastructure engineering, and continuous delivery practices • Recommend and maintain technology-related policies and procedures • Troubleshoot availability and performance issues across hardware, operating environment, network, and application layers • Design, build, manage, and operate infrastructure-as-a-service layers and cloud-based platforms • Design, build, manage, and operate continuous delivery frameworks and tools • Automate platform component lifecycles and serve as a CI/CD subject matter expert • Design and operate platform infrastructure and application environments with infrastructure as code • Evaluate performance, demand, and capacity trends and establish scalability plans • Integrate components and develop open-source-focused services • Develop log analytics and logging-as-a-service solutions • Develop monitoring solutions using tools such as Graphite, ELK, Datadog, and New Relic

🎯 Requirements

• 5 or more years of experience (Preferred) • Cloud applications, cloud engineering, and cloud platform experience • Experience with continuous delivery and continuous integration software • Python programming language • Software development • Terraform • Required to submit to a background investigation • Allstate generally does not sponsor individuals for employment-based visas for this position • Dedicated, private workspace free from distractions when working from home • Appropriate desk and seating when working from home • Reliable internet with minimum speeds of 50 MB download and 5 MB upload
