📋 Description

• Lead and manage teams delivering data products, ETLs, Python automations, dashboards, reporting solutions, and software-based control capabilities • Set technical direction across data ingestion, transformation, automation, visualization, software design, development, deployment, and operation • Contribute hands-on to architecture, design reviews, critical-path Python/ETL/dashboard development, and critical-path software development • Own operational and production outcomes, including data quality, reliability, performance, dashboard availability, and operational health • Partner with TORC leaders, Digital Product Managers, stakeholders, and engineering teams to align data needs, roadmaps, and delivery priorities • Drive modern data and software engineering practices, including CI/CD, automated validation, testing, monitoring, observability, TDD, and paired programming • Translate risk, compliance, security, and control requirements into scalable data models, workflows, engineering solutions, and reusable patterns • Enable and lead agile execution focused on measurable outcomes, business value, and engineering/security outcomes • Promote data accessibility, trusted reporting, secure engineering standards, platform-integrated controls, and continuous improvement • Mentor senior engineers and develop technical leaders • Influence adoption of standards and scalable solutions across teams • Navigate cross-team dependencies and balance delivery speed with quality, security, and user experience

🎯 Requirements

• 5+ years of engineering experience with hands-on Python and data product delivery (Risk Insights role) • 2+ years leading engineers with technical oversight, including architecture, code reviews, and delivery coaching (Risk Insights role) • Experience building and operating scalable data pipelines, ETLs, and analytical/reporting systems (Risk Insights role) • Strong experience with data modeling, APIs, backend integrations, and data quality practices (Risk Insights role) • Knowledge of modern engineering practices, including CI/CD, testing, observability, and automation (Risk Insights role) • Experience delivering dashboards and translating complex data into actionable insights (Risk Insights role) • Experience working in agile environments with cross-functional stakeholders (Risk Insights role) • 5+ years of software engineering experience with hands-on coding in Python, Java, or JavaScript (Risk Engineering role) • 2+ years leading engineers with technical guidance, including architecture, design, and code reviews (Risk Engineering role) • Experience building and operating distributed, cloud-based systems and microservices architectures (Risk Engineering role) • Strong experience with APIs, backend services, and secure system design (Risk Engineering role) • Knowledge of DevSecOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, and monitoring/observability (Risk Engineering role) • Experience deploying or supporting AI-based or advanced engineering capabilities (Risk Engineering role) • Experience working in agile environments delivering engineering and security outcomes (Risk Engineering role) • Experience in risk, compliance, security, or technology operations domains (desirable) • Exposure to cloud-native and containerized environments, including AWS, Azure, Kubernetes, and Docker (desirable) • Ability to influence adoption of standards, reusable patterns, and scalable solutions across teams (desirable) • Experience mentoring senior engineers and developing technical leaders (desirable) • Strong stakeholder management and ability to navigate cross-team dependencies (desirable) • Familiarity with operational metrics, reporting, or control effectiveness measures (desirable) • Ability to balance delivery speed with quality, security, and user experience (desirable) • Commitment to building scalable, reliable, and low-friction solutions (desirable) • Background investigation required • Generally no employment-based visa sponsorship for this position • Dedicated, private home workspace free from distractions with appropriate desk and seating • Reliable internet with minimum speeds of 50 MB download and 5 MB upload
