📋 Description

• Lead the planning process for new products and improvements to existing products • Manage project concerns including cost, completion dates, resource allocation, quality/reliability, and budgets • Run multiple high-profile projects simultaneously and take on additional customer projects as needed • Provide technical leadership across engineering disciplines and business functional groups • Coordinate project activities and resolve complex technical issues • Develop and implement resource plans • Manage internal and external customers • Interpret bottle data using SPC and quality practices to determine project direction • Lead teams whose members do not report directly to the role • Develop and manage project budgets of approximately $50K–$1M • Track and meet capital and expense budgets • Establish policies and engineering/design principles and standardize them within the department • Understand customer needs and drive product opportunities • Influence commercial decisions • Work cross-functionally to improve processes and employee engagement • Monitor project needs, hurdles, and workload • Collaborate with Commercial and Operations stakeholders, Corporate R&D, upper management, peers, Design, Project Management, quality control, purchasing/procurement, finance, clients, and vendors

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or related field; packaging discipline preferred • 8 or more years of experience working with injection and blow molding equipment, tooling, and processing • Deep technical knowledge of the industry and understanding of industry trends and customer applications • Ability to manage multiple high-profile projects simultaneously • Excellent written and verbal communication skills • Ability to manage internal and external customers • Good understanding of SPC and quality practices • Ability to lead teams without direct reporting relationships • Good understanding of EBM, ISBM, IBM, and IM technologies • Plastic processing experience is a plus • Tooling build experience is a plus • Proficiency in Excel, Word, Outlook, and MS Project • CAD background is a plus • Ability to develop and manage project budgets • Ability to work within a procedure-based organization while extending beyond boundaries when required • Willingness and ability to make decisions and learn from them • Ability to understand Amcor’s strategy, competitive position, and business environment • Ability to develop policies and professional engineering/design principles • Ability to understand and anticipate customer needs • Willingness to travel 50%
