📋 Description

• Execute substation physical and protection and control (P&C) projects • Perform quality control checks on substation physical and P&C design projects • Read and design one-line drawings, three-line drawings, schematics, wiring, plan-section drawings, conduit drawings, and grounding drawings • Create and check bills of materials for substation physical and P&C projects • Create and check project estimates and schedules • Provide quality control checks for designs • Support the complete project lifecycle from scoping through final design and implementation • Work with client standards to implement designs • Collaborate with designers/drafters to create required project drawings • Provide construction support • Attend occasional customer site visits • Maintain compliance with project scope, schedule, budget, quality control, and safe work practices • Work as part of a design team of engineers, designers, and CAD technicians

🎯 Requirements

• Candidates must be located in the United States • Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or a related degree • Four or more years of related substation design experience • Experience executing substation physical and P&C projects • Excellent communication skills and ability to interact with internal teams and clients • Ability to meet deadlines under pressure • Ability to collaborate and lead effectively in a team environment • Ability to work independently with minimal direction • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills • Compliance with quality control and safe work practices • Engineer Intern (EI/EIT) certification is an additional qualification • Professional Engineer (PE) License is an additional qualification • Working knowledge of protection and control design • Experience with bus calculations, relay settings, grounding studies, lightning protection and lighting studies, AC and DC calculations • Experience with WinIGS or CDEGS • Experience with CAD tools • Field testing/commissioning experience is an additional qualification • Master’s degree in a related field is an additional qualification
