• Assess client environments against NIST CSF 2.0, CIS Controls, ISO 27001, CMMC, CJIS, HIPAA, and PCI DSS • Design secure cybersecurity, networking, and cloud solutions aligned with client business needs • Configure, install, enable, and maintain security products and services • Research and implement solutions to technical problems, including client environment design changes • Maintain deployed security, network, and cloud environments for continued operational performance • Perform network administration, including client trouble tickets and design changes • Monitor security events and investigate suspicious activities • Partner with SOC Analysts to develop and refine SIEM correlation rules and custom detection methods • Gather data, generate reports, and support clients and departments with analysis • Participate in small to medium-sized projects • Prepare and document standard operating procedures and security operations protocols • Collaborate across teams and departments to address security concerns • Complete onboarding to Apollo's core tool stack, internal systems, and Aegis platform • Shadow active client environments and learn deployment patterns and support requirements • Own scoped technical workstreams independently • Contribute to peer reviews, architecture discussions, and post-incident reviews • Identify and recommend process, gap, or tooling improvements • Serve client-facing work without senior oversight on standard-complexity engagements • Build cross-functional relationships with SOC, Sales Engineering, and PM • Deliver an adopted improvement to an internal process, playbook, or technical standard • Support client conversations involving CMMC, NIST, and relevant SLED requirements
• Experience in cybersecurity, network administration, or systems administration, with at least some time in a hands-on engineering capacity • Demonstrated experience implementing and managing security and/or network technologies in production • Experience with common security tools and technologies, such as firewalls, IPS/IDS, SIEM, and EDR/MDR • Scripting or automation experience using PowerShell, Bash, or Python • Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills • Ability to manage multiple client priorities in a fast-paced managed services environment • Clear written and verbal communication skills • Ability to document designs and explain technical concepts to clients • Preferred: experience in security engineering or architecture • Preferred: product expertise with Fortinet or Sophos, with exposure to Palo Alto and Cisco • Preferred: proficiency with M365, Azure, GCP, or AWS, including cloud-native security services • Preferred: identity and access management best-practice expertise • Preferred: experience with SIEM platforms such as Stellar Cyber, Splunk, LogRhythm, Elastic, or Azure Sentinel • Preferred: experience with vulnerability management and asset visibility tooling such as Tenable or Sevco • Preferred: familiarity with Microsoft Entra ID and Google Workspace, including SSO and MFA configuration • Preferred: exposure to managed services or MSSP delivery models, including multi-tenant operations and client-facing engagement • Must complete a background check and obtain CJIS certification • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States • Must not require current or future sponsorship to continue working in the United States • Must be willing to work remotely in the United States and travel up to 25%
