📋 Description

• Design, build, and maintain ServiceNow Service Portal pages and widgets for multiple user types and roles • Use Service Portal Designer, Page Editor, Widget Editor, and portal theming • Conduct comprehensive portal UX assessments • Develop management plans, documentation, and design artifacts for site and portal development and continuous improvement • Implement and verify Section 508 and WCAG 2.2 accessibility on new and updated pages and widgets • Apply the NSF Tech Accelerators brand and style guide • Coordinate with content owners to ensure published material meets copyright and release requirements • Collaborate with the NSF TIP program team and stakeholder engagement/communications staff • Translate engagement plans, personas, and editorial calendars into portal features and page content • Support the U.S. National Science Foundation Tech Accelerators initiative through a ServiceNow-based portal serving researchers, innovators, investors, federal partners, and the public

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Web Development, or a related field, and 4 years of relevant web development experience; or 7 years of relevant web development experience in lieu of a degree • Hands-on ServiceNow Service Portal development, including HTML templates, client scripts, CSS/SCSS widgets, Service Portal Designer page layout, and portal theming with SCSS and Bootstrap 3 • Strong responsive front-end development with HTML, CSS/SCSS, JavaScript, and Bootstrap 3 • Demonstrated UI/navigation UX design experience, including information architecture, menus, and user flows • Practical experience implementing Section 508 and WCAG 2.2, including keyboard access, ARIA, and focus management • Ability to obtain and maintain required federal suitability/background investigation and system access credentials • Must be authorized to work in the United States; no visa sponsorship is offered • Candidates may work from anywhere within the United States and must be available for virtual coordination during core business hours • Portfolio website with links showcasing web design and development projects • Prior experience with federal agencies or government digital platforms is a plus • Familiarity with AngularJS is a plus • ServiceNow CSA and/or CAD certification is desired • Experience with ServiceNow Now Experience UI Builder and modern ServiceNow UX frameworks is desired • Experience supporting stakeholder engagement or outreach-focused digital platforms is desired • Familiarity with SEO, web analytics, and usability/performance testing is desired • Experience implementing brand, style guides, and design systems is desired • Proficiency with SQL, Power BI, or ServiceNow Performance Analytics is desired • Familiarity with Microsoft Power Platform tools or similar low-code tools is desired
