📋 Description

• Work directly with small business clients in a fractional HR model • Provide customized, hands-on HR support and strategic guidance • Develop strategy for HR functional areas including compliance, benefits, talent management, systems, recruiting, and culture • Perform organizational planning and HR audits • Develop employee handbooks and policies • Implement benefits • Implement and automate HRIS systems • Manage recruiting activities including job descriptions and postings, sourcing, resume collection and review, pre-screen interviews, interview scheduling, and job offers • Develop employee onboarding and off-boarding processes • Create culture programs • Handle employee relations, investigations, disciplinary actions, and coaching • Create internal company marketing collateral, including culture event materials, benefits summaries, and onboarding presentations • Support payroll • Maintain availability for client needs, meetings, and time-sensitive HR matters

🎯 Requirements

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills • 7+ years of relevant HR experience in a generalist/manager role at a small- to mid-sized company (<300 employees) • 3+ years of HR experience in a PE/VC-backed company and/or startup • PHR and/or SHRM-CP certifications are a plus • Proven track record of building and improving operational processes and procedures • Solid understanding of HR systems and ability to learn new systems • Thorough knowledge of employment law, compensation best practices, organizational planning and development, and employee relations • Experience with multi-state employment laws, including California employment laws, is a plus • Consistent availability during regular business hours • Flexibility within daytime schedule • Must not be working around another full-time position or independent/another consulting practice • Must include favorite color when asked for additional information
