📋 Description

• Develop and implement security and anti-abuse features in the core product • Collaborate with the Trust & Safety Software Engineering Team on projects, strategy, and problem-solving • Participate in and lead code reviews for security-related features • Support creation and improvement of machine learning models by collating and preparing training data • Work with cross-functional teams to launch features with robust anti-abuse and security measures • Respond to and investigate security incidents and abuse reports • Stay current with security threats and anti-abuse techniques • Implement third-party integrations or products into production systems

🎯 Requirements

• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills • Abstract thinking and ability to handle poorly defined threats • Desire to solve difficult problems • Hacker mindset and ability to think like a malicious actor • Solid understanding of computer networking, including subnetting, DNS, and HTTP/S protocols • Experience with security tools and technologies such as WAF rules, Cloudflare, RECAPTCHA, and other anti-abuse systems • Familiarity with threat feeds/intelligence • Experience with enterprise fraud, security, or KYC tools • 5–8+ years of professional software engineering experience • Experience with Ruby on Rails or similar MVC backend frameworks • Experience with modern test frameworks such as Playwright, Cypress, Jest, Selenium, or RSpec • Solid understanding of full-stack web architectures and production system behavior • Strong technical judgment and track record of owning systems over time • Quality-first mindset combined with pragmatism and delivery focus • Excellent communication and collaboration skills • Adaptability, proactive approach, and ability to manage multiple priorities • Comfortable with rapid iteration, frequent context switching, and complex organizational dynamics
