📋 Description

• Own the team's technical outcomes and uphold standards for code quality, reliability, maintainability, security, and technical execution • Lead technical direction and design within the team’s domain • Translate product and business problems into pragmatic technical solutions and drive implementation • Partner with Staff Engineers and architects on broader cross-team or cross-product decisions • Mentor engineers, provide technical feedback, identify growth opportunities, and develop team capability • Use AI tools such as Claude Code in daily development and identify automation opportunities • Experiment with AI and automation approaches, measure effectiveness, and establish repeatable workflows • Identify and address technical debt, architectural risks, performance concerns, and reliability issues • Diagnose and resolve complex technical problems using debugging, observability, and system-level knowledge • Build quality into development through automated testing, code review, observability, and continuous feedback

🎯 Requirements

• Strong, recent experience building and shipping production software as a hands-on engineer • Deep proficiency in .NET/C# and TypeScript/Node • Strong experience with React and modern web development • Strong understanding of distributed systems, event-driven architecture, SQL, asynchronous programming, automated testing, and production debugging/observability • Ability to make pragmatic architectural decisions balancing scalability, reliability, maintainability, and delivery speed • Experience serving as the senior technical engineer or technical lead on a team • Ability to influence technical direction without formal management authority • Ability to take ambiguous or moderately scoped problems through technical approach, tradeoffs, implementation, and delivery • Strong ownership of quality, reliability, maintainability, and long-term technical health • Genuine hands-on fluency with AI development tools such as Claude Code, GitHub Copilot, or similar • Experience using AI in coding, debugging, research, code analysis, and problem-solving • Ability to use AI and automation to improve engineering workflows, team leverage, and quality • Curiosity about emerging AI capabilities and willingness to experiment and create repeatable workflows • Track record of mentoring engineers and raising technical capability • Ability to communicate technical decisions and tradeoffs clearly with Engineering, Product, QA, and other partners • Continuous-improvement mindset and willingness to challenge existing practices • Collaborative approach to technical leadership • No visa sponsorship or relocation assistance is offered
