Bristol Hospice is a multi-state hospice and palliative care provider operating dozens of locations across the United States that delivers in-home and community-based end-of-life care, palliative services, pediatric hospice, and specialty programs (such as veteran support and respiratory-focused care). The organization offers patient- and family-centered clinical care, consultations about hospice eligibility and benefits, and supportive resources and foundations to serve community needs.

📋 Description

• Serve as the first point of contact for employees seeking HR support, troubleshooting and directing inquiries • Guide employees through self-service tools, resources, HR systems, and direct access materials • Follow and uphold established HR Advisor workflows • Lead onboarding by managing post-offer screenings, coordinating with Talent Acquisition and site leadership, completing HRIS requirements, and ensuring first-day readiness • Partner with field Business Office Managers and Specialists to track employee documentation and verify certifications • Conduct annual background screenings for staff and medical directors and flag concerns to the Regional HR Director • Perform compliance audits and escalate findings or irregularities to HR leadership • Draft, prepare, and format HR letters, documents, presentations, and communications • Maintain accurate employee files for home office and field locations • Review field documentation for CHAP standards and state and local regulatory compliance • Build working relationships with coworkers, leaders, and vendors • Support retention programs, employee engagement surveys, and ESG-related projects • Provide HRIS support, including password resets, PAF guidance, and entry-level system tasks • Perform other duties as assigned

🎯 Requirements

• Up to three (3) years working in an administrative office environment • One (1) to three (3) years of experience in Human Resources or a fast-paced, high-volume environment • Strong attention to detail • Knowledge of HR processes, policies, best practices, and state and federal labor laws • Ability to maintain confidentiality and discretion • Strong skills in Microsoft Office, specifically Excel, Word, and PowerPoint • Experience with HRIS systems • Excellent analytical and organizational skills and ability to problem solve in a busy environment • Excellent written and verbal communication skills • Ability to prioritize and meet deadlines • Strong customer service skills with a positive attitude • Ability to work self-sufficiently and in a team environment • Must reside within the California market territory
