• Reviews outpatient clinical documentation and assigns appropriate ICD-10-CM and CPT codes • Utilizes 3M 360 Finder for code assignment and resolves claim edits • Monitors outpatient uncoded reports to ensure timely coding and billing process • Collaborates with physician for clarification as needed • Reports documentation insufficiencies to the physician • Updates patient financial accounts in the billing system as required
🎯 Requirements
• High school diploma or equivalent • Successful completion of formal coding educational program • Coding certification required from the American Health Information Management Association (AHIMA) or the American Academy of Professional Coders (AAPC) • One to two years experience in outpatient coding or billing • Ability to meet and maintain established quality and productivity standards
