📋 Description

• Develop and maintain machine control software • Bring automation to life through controls software development and machine commissioning • Ensure reliable movement of prescriptions through high-volume pharmacy fulfillment operations • Work across mechanical, electrical, and controls engineering disciplines • Diagnose issues spanning mechanical, electrical, software, and network domains • Build, commission, and bring automated machines into production • Troubleshoot production equipment and support startups • Provide production support and customer, project team, and commissioning assistance • Report to the Senior Director of Enterprise Architecture • Travel approximately 40%

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor's degree (HBO) or equivalent degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, Physics, or a comparable discipline • 10+ years of experience in Mechatronics, Electrical Engineering, or Industrial Automation • Strong hands-on programming experience with Siemens S7-1200 and S7-1500 PLCs • Advanced knowledge of TIA Portal and IEC 61131-3 languages • Experience developing and maintaining machine control software • Ability to work across mechanical, electrical, and controls engineering • Understanding of interactions between hardware, software, motion systems, sensors, actuators, and machine design • Experience with servo systems, frequency drives, axis tuning, homing, positioning, electronic gearing, camming, and multi-axis synchronization • Knowledge of Modbus TCP, IO-Link, OPC UA, MQTT, and related diagnostics • Ability to diagnose issues spanning mechanical, electrical, software, and network domains • Strong communication skills to support customers, project teams, and commissioning activities under pressure • Proven ability to work independently and prioritize effectively • Proven track record building, commissioning, and bringing automated machines into production • Experience troubleshooting real-world production equipment and supporting startups
