• Provide production support • Analyze, troubleshoot, and document issues and processes • Communicate and coordinate incident response with support staff • Monitor nightly software data-load processes using server-management tools and email • Analyze and troubleshoot nightly process errors and failure notices • Log and assign incidents in the Service Desk product and record fixes and analysis • Communicate with internal tier 2 support and outside vendor support to address production issues • Document processes and production jobs in Service Desk, SharePoint, and elsewhere to establish a support knowledge base • Perform process development and enhancements • Analyze process performance and identify improvement opportunities • Tune systems and processes to improve ETL performance • Monitor server health and performance during off-hours, including Citrix, email, FTP, storage utilization, network uptime, security, and capacity metrics • Perform duties in accordance with company guidelines and applicable regulations
• Must be able to work Midnight to late morning shift • Must be able to work overtime as needed, including occasional additional days • Knowledge of enterprise solutions using Microsoft SQL Server (2008+), Microsoft Reporting Services or Microsoft Analysis Services • Experience using enterprise ETL applications such as Microsoft SSIS • Microsoft Windows Server (2008+) • Knowledge of SFTP • Microsoft Exchange (2010+) • Knowledge of change management • Technical or associate degree, or similar certification, or working towards completion of such • 1–2 years’ experience with IT departmental support or development • 1–2 years’ experience with SQL Server Integration Tools (SSIS) preferred • 1–2 years’ experience with Microsoft SQL Server Database administration preferred • SQL Server and Windows Server certifications preferred • Strong analytical, problem-solving, collaboration, and technical skills • SQL queries • Ability to understand, remember, and apply oral and/or written instructions • Ability to understand and communicate routine factual information • Ability to understand complex problems and explore alternative solutions • Ability to apply common sense and make moderately impactful decisions • Ability to organize thoughts and ideas into understandable terminology • Ability to perform basic arithmetic and record, balance, and check results accurately • Ability to follow basic instructions and guidelines • Ability to compose basic reports and communicate technical information orally • Ability to communicate accurately, audibly, and quickly • Notice to all applicants: Carrington does not do interviews or make offers via text or chat
