📋 Description

• Design, build, and operate the warehouse, transformation layer, orchestration, and serving surfaces • Build reliable ingestion and ELT/ETL pipelines for product events, CRM, marketing, finance, support, and other critical sources • Create tested, documented dimensional and semantic data models • Implement data-quality tests, anomaly detection, lineage, SLAs, and incident response • Partner with Engineering on event taxonomy, tracking plans, and production data contracts • Provide governed datasets and interfaces for analysts, Marketing Operations, and AI agents • Apply least-privilege access and PII-handling standards • Document architecture and runbooks, automate toil, and improve reliability and developer experience • Build and continuously improve data-platform agents for monitoring, diagnosis, optimization, documentation, reporting, contract monitoring, remediation drafting, and lineage questions • Own agent-layer quality, reliability, requirements, accuracy, adoption, and evolution • Lead pipeline reviews, incident retrospectives, SLA reporting, and intake prioritization • Ensure data products have ownership, tests, documentation, and rollback paths • Make investment trade-offs across reliability, modeling, self-service, cost efficiency, and agent quality • Collaborate with Product, Engineering, Analytics, Marketing, Sales, and Customer Success

🎯 Requirements

• 5+ years building and operating production data pipelines and warehouse models as a hands-on individual contributor • Experience spanning ingestion, transformation, orchestration, and serving • Strong SQL • Experience with cloud warehouses such as BigQuery, Snowflake, or Redshift • Experience with dbt or equivalent transformation tooling • Experience with Airflow, Dagster, or Prefect • Python for platform automation • Experience designing for observability, testing, SLAs, incident response, and cost control • Systems architecture and data modeling experience supporting growth and schema change • Hands-on experience designing agent workflows, defining requirements, evaluating outputs, grounding answers in lineage and documentation, and iterating on quality • Ability to partner with Product Engineering, Analytics, and GTM without formal authority • Senior individual-contributor orientation; no people-management requirement
