📋 Description

• Architect, build, and evolve developer experience for Cloud Engineering teams • Design and evolve critical infrastructure for building, testing, and deploying cloud applications • Resolve complex problems and debug internal and vendor-supplied tools • Influence and drive operational excellence • Learn other engineering teams' priorities and practices to design effective systems • Partner with engineering leadership to define roadmaps • Report productivity gains and platform health to the SVP level • Lead complex troubleshooting • Perform blameless postmortems • Champion sustainable on-call practices across the organization • Collaborate with SRE and Cloud Engineering teams distributed across the US and UK

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor's degree and 8+ years of relevant experience, or Master's degree and 6+ years of relevant experience, or equivalent related work experience • 5+ years of coding experience with languages such as Ruby or Python • Experience mentoring and providing technical oversight for a team • Experience managing and operating distributed systems at a scale of 1,000+ nodes or in high-concurrency environments • Configuration-as-code and infrastructure automation experience • Experience with modern Unix/Linux operating systems and distributions • Experience in hybrid cloud environments is preferred • Experience rapidly evaluating and adopting new technologies is preferred • Experience building and supporting tools for engineering organizations of 2,000+ is preferred • Background in containerization is preferred • Familiarity with DORA and SPACE DevOps measurement metrics is preferred • U.S. citizenship required because the work must be performed by a U.S. citizen on U.S. soil
