📋 Description

• Support information technology applications through planning, design, implementation, maintenance, and optimization • Specialize in outreach laboratory interfacing and maintenance • Troubleshoot Beaker/LIS-related incidents and diagnose root causes • Perform workflow analysis and monitor and resolve interface errors • Complete low-complexity Beaker/LIS build tasks • Support and optimize Beaker workflows and implement laboratory changes, enhancements, and regulatory requirements • Maintain submitter records for Cleveland Clinic Laboratories' outreach operations • Contribute to annual Epic upgrades, Nova Note reviews, billing initiatives, Rover support, and external system integrations • Assist with project documentation, task planning, and communications • Evaluate, plan, design, implement, and provide ongoing optimization and preventative maintenance for Beaker/LIS applications • Translate technology requirements into design and development specifications and provide product management • Analyze, design, and build workflows for Beaker/LIS users • Assume on-call responsibilities as required • Provide end-user support for Epic Beaker issues, especially pre-analytical, phlebotomy, and patient-facing laboratory workflows • Build and maintain laboratory records in Epic • Support laboratory billing processes • Participate in meetings with analyst teams and laboratory subject matter experts • Provide ongoing project support and perform other assigned duties

🎯 Requirements

• Associate's Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or related field and two years of implementation, support and management of computer-based information systems experience, preferably in a health care or lab environment; OR two years of clinical experience utilizing Epic, Beaker, or LIS systems • Bachelor's Degree and one year of experience • High School Diploma/GED and four years of clinical or implementation, support and management of computer-based information systems experience, preferably in a health care or lab environment • ITIL Foundations certification required within 6 months of position start date for Information Technology Division caregivers • Preferred: experience in nursing, respiratory, laboratory, or related technical certification fields • Preferred: certification/proficiency in one or more Epic applications • Preferred: Beaker certification/proficiency or other Laboratory Informatics System certification • Preferred: familiarity with clinical systems • Preferred: knowledge of laboratory workflows • Preferred: pathology and laboratory medicine practical experience • Ability to perform stationary work for extended periods • Ability to travel throughout the hospital system • Ability to operate computers and office equipment • Ability to communicate and exchange accurate information • Compliance with controlled-substance testing and annual influenza prevention requirements
