📋 Description

• Support information technology applications through planning, designing, implementing, maintaining, and optimizing system functionality • Specialize in Outreach Laboratory Interfacing and Maintenance • Troubleshoot Beaker/LIS-related incidents and perform workflow analysis • Monitor and resolve interface errors • Complete low-complexity Beaker/LIS build tasks • Support, maintain, and enhance the Atlas system for external clients • Support client onboarding and connectivity efforts • Perform submitter build activities and coordinate test builds • Validate and test Beaker updates through the TDMS request process • Conduct upgrade testing • Implement new client interfaces and integrations • Serve as a primary point of contact for client users, client technical teams, analysts, and LIS/EMR vendors • Provide operational support, troubleshooting, training, and guidance on system functionality and workflows • Collaborate with system users and IT professionals on application evaluation, design, implementation, optimization, and preventative maintenance • Gather, validate, and translate technology requirements into design and development specifications • Provide Beaker/LIS-related product management • Analyze, design, and build workflows for Beaker/LIS users • Diagnose system problems, identify root causes, resolve issues, or escalate them • Assume on-call responsibilities as required • Provide end-user support for Epic Beaker issues, focusing on pre-analytical, phlebotomy, and patient-facing laboratory workflows • Build and maintain laboratory records in Epic • Support laboratory billing processes • Participate in analyst team and laboratory SME meetings • Provide ongoing project support • Perform other duties as assigned

🎯 Requirements

• Associate's Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or related field and two years of implementation, support and management of computer-based information systems experience, preferably in a health care or lab environment • Two years of clinical experience in a role utilizing Epic, Beaker, or LIS systems • Bachelor's Degree and one year of experience • High School Diploma/GED and four years of clinical or implementation, support and management of computer-based information systems experience, preferably in a health care or lab environment • ITIL Foundations certification required within 6 months of position start date for Information Technology Division caregivers • Ability to perform work in a stationary position for extended periods • Ability to travel throughout the hospital system • Ability to operate a computer and other office equipment • Ability to communicate and exchange accurate information • Compliance with required personal protective equipment procedures • Compliance with drug testing and influenza prevention program requirements • Preferred: experience in a medically related licensed field or related technical certification • Preferred: certification/proficiency in Epic applications • Preferred: Beaker certification/proficiency or other Laboratory Informatics System certification • Preferred: familiarity with clinical systems • Preferred: knowledge of laboratory workflows • Preferred: pathology and lab medicine practical experience
