• Develop basic to highly advanced code and designs for new and existing technology systems • Develop and deliver technical documentation • Participate in peer code and design reviews • Build and maintain applications meeting industry regulatory requirements • Collaborate with team members, technical colleagues, business partners, and architects • Follow SDLC frameworks covering requirements gathering, analysis, design, development, testing, release management, and deployment • Ensure compliance with audit and security requirements • Review complex code for maintainability, coding standards, and security issues • Lead teams in meeting project goals, objectives, and delivery dates • Author technical specifications and detailed designs • Provide engineering leadership and mentorship to engineering staff • Lead large-scale software projects from start to finish • Drive technical strategy, innovation efforts, and improvements • Conceptualize, plan, design, and build software solving complex problems • Participate in Agile/Scrum events and established agile standards • Be available for travel and on-call duties as needed • Perform other duties as assigned
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, related technology field, or equivalent combination of education and experience • 10 years of professional work experience in software development required; C# preferred • 3 years of experience performing as a subject matter expert • Years of experience may be offset by proficiency in highly specialized technologies or skills • Expert proficiency in object-oriented design, data structures, and algorithms • Ability to modify existing code and write highly advanced scripts according to standards and best practices • Advanced coding experience in a cloud environment; Azure highly preferred • Expert-level full-stack engineering knowledge in two or more modern programming languages • Thorough understanding of databases, including basic to highly advanced SQL statements • Expert-level technical skills and knowledge in API, front-end, back-end, and data development and architecture • Ability to travel as needed • Availability to be on-call as needed • This role is currently not eligible for sponsorship
