📋 Description

• Design, develop, and maintain test plans, test cases, and test suites for functional, regression, integration, performance, and security testing • Execute manual and automated tests for RESTful APIs, front-end components, and back-end services • Document and triage defects with reproducible steps and severity classifications • Build and maintain automated test frameworks and integrate test execution into CI/CD pipelines • Validate AWS-hosted and serverless deployments, including post-deployment regression testing • Conduct API-level testing to validate contracts, error handling, and data integrity • Develop and execute performance and load tests, identify bottlenecks, and collaborate on remediation • Ensure testing coverage for HIPAA, NIST, and healthcare regulatory requirements • Partner with Full-Stack Engineers to shift testing left and improve unit and integration test coverage • Support testing of document management and OCR-integrated workflows • Maintain test documentation, traceability matrices, test reports, and defect logs • Communicate test status and quality risks to technical and non-technical stakeholders • Participate in code reviews with a quality focus • Establish testing standards, improve testing processes, mentor engineers, and stay current with QA practices

🎯 Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in software test engineering, QA engineering, or a closely related role • Demonstrated ownership of test strategy and execution • Proficiency in automated testing for .NET/C# and React environments • Experience with backend testing tools such as xUnit, NUnit, or MSTest • Experience with frontend testing tools such as Jest, React Testing Library, Cypress, or Playwright • Hands-on REST API testing, including response schema verification and error-condition coverage • Experience integrating automated tests into CI/CD pipelines such as GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps, or Jenkins • Understanding of boundary value analysis, equivalence partitioning, and exploratory testing • Experience with performance and load testing tools such as JMeter, k6, or Locust • Experience with cloud-hosted applications and familiarity with AWS service behaviors • Knowledge of relational and/or NoSQL database testing and query-based data validation • Experience with Git-based version control and collaborative development workflows • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills and meticulous attention to detail • Clear written and verbal communication skills • Ability to sit, read, work on a computer, and watch a computer screen for extended periods • Preferred: experience in federal health IT or regulated industries; document management and OCR workflow testing; security testing; AWS certifications or serverless architecture validation; AI/ML output validation; ISTQB certification; healthcare interoperability testing with HL7 or FHIR
