• Support the payroll function for CSD as the subject matter expert and primary payroll representative • Process staff payroll accurately according to established timelines, procedures, and best-in-class standards • Collaborate with People & Culture on timely, accurate onboarding and offboarding integrations • Oversee payroll activities administered by the Operations team • Review hourly employee timesheets for accuracy and alignment with expectations • Provide payroll guidance and education to Contact Center staff and other employees • Enter and verify employee changes in the payroll system, including Contact Center locations • Serve as primary contact for payroll and payroll-system access questions • Act as secondary administrator of the payroll system and manage access levels and permissions • Administer the time clock system as secondary point of contact and manage access permissions • Process and verify payroll garnishments and specialized deductions • Monitor, review, and audit timesheet approvals; report anomalies and ensure accurate accruals and calculations • Establish deductions in payroll and benefits systems • Prepare year-end W-2 forms by required deadlines • Support complex payroll reporting and provide reports to administrators • Complete special projects and provide progress reports • Perform other assigned duties
• Strong project management skills, including analysis, planning, prioritization, attention to detail, and managing multiple projects simultaneously • Experience working across Finance and HR functions and with employees and management at various levels • In-depth knowledge of federal and state payroll regulations • Ability to work with financial and payroll management systems and computer accounting programs • Advanced math and payroll accounting skills • Ability to explain complex issues in accessible terms • Excellent time management and organization skills • Ability to demonstrate organizational values and champion CSD’s products, services, and global community support • Effective use of Microsoft Office, including advanced-level proficiency in MS Excel • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Accounting, Human Resources, Communications, or a related field from an accredited college or university, or equivalent professional experience • One year of professional experience in Finance, Human Resources, or a related function • Two years of Human Resources or Payroll experience (PREFERRED) • Certified Human Resources or Payroll Professional certification, such as PHR, SHRM-CP, or CPP (PREFERRED) • Ability to communicate effectively using American Sign Language
