📋 Description

• Design, harden, and defend containerized application infrastructure across small form factor edge compute and cloud environments • Lead threat modeling, vulnerability management, and security reviews • Evaluate and adopt tools that maximize system security and reliability while protecting developer velocity • Build and maintain automated, reproducible provisioning and installation frameworks that take hardware and cloud hosts from bare metal to a hardened, mission-ready baseline • Support provisioning in air-gapped and disconnected environments • Own the lifecycle of secrets, keys, and certificates, including issuance, distribution, rotation, and revocation • Optimize resource usage and harden systems against denied or degraded network conditions • Implement and document security controls to meet United States DoD and Intelligence Community software accreditation and certification standards • Shape CX2’s security architecture and strengthen engineering culture • Help deliver electromagnetic warfare capabilities

🎯 Requirements

• Minimum of 8-10 years of experience building, securing, and operating software infrastructure at the edge, on premises, or in the cloud • Strong foundation in cybersecurity, including system and network hardening, threat modeling, vulnerability management, and incident response • Deep understanding of containerization technologies, with a focus on Docker and Docker Compose, including image building and hardening, container networking and storage, runtime isolation, and securing images and registries • Hands-on experience with provisioning and configuration management frameworks such as Ansible, Chef, Puppet, and SaltStack • Experience with Infrastructure-as-Code tools such as Terraform and OpenTofu • Experience with secrets management and PKI, including HashiCorp Vault, OpenBao, AWS KMS, SOPS, TPM or HSM backed keys • Deep proficiency with Linux administration and security, including SELinux, AppArmor, firewalls, auditing, and disk encryption • Willing to work extended hours for mission critical deadlines • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Cybersecurity, or a related technical field, or equivalent relevant experience • ITAR eligibility: must be a US Citizen, Green Card holder, or eligible to obtain required authorizations from the U.S. Department of State
