📋 Description

• Own the technical strategy for the engagement workstream and drive it to a documented, agreed target state • Coordinate with customer technical leadership on architecture, sequencing, and risk • Review designs, code, and infrastructure as code and set engineering standards • Make and document architecture decisions, including trade-offs • Develop project plans with realistic milestones and dependencies alongside the Engagement Manager and customer • Confirm staffing and skill mix, escalate gaps, and mentor consultants • Own quality and completion, track milestones, unblock the team, and lead remediation • Coordinate technical execution with partner consultants and vendor teams in an Agile delivery model • Contribute to AWS and partner resource utilization and refine delivery offerings • Design and deploy AWS foundational environments using Control Tower and Landing Zone Accelerator • Define and implement multi-account architecture using AWS Organizations, OUs, account vending, SCPs, centralized logging, and security tooling • Implement IAM, Identity Center, guardrails, and security baselines • Lead on-premises estate discovery and assessment, dependency mapping, right-sizing, and migration wave planning • Select and drive rehost or replatform migration strategies for workloads • Oversee replication of on-premises and VMware virtual machines into EC2, including image conversion and OS/driver remediation • Direct replatforming to managed AWS services including RDS, ALB/NLB, and CloudFront • Own hybrid connectivity design involving Direct Connect, Site-to-Site VPN, Transit Gateway, DNS, and Active Directory • Oversee storage and database migrations and validate data integrity • Set standards for IaC, pipeline automation, and operational readiness • Produce design documents, migration runbooks, diagrams, decision records, and hand-over guides

🎯 Requirements

• 10+ years designing and operating infrastructure • 3+ years leading a technical workstream on customer-facing engagements • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or similar • Hands-on production AWS experience • Experience setting engagement technical strategy and coordinating with customer technical leadership • Experience building AWS foundational environments with Control Tower, Landing Zone Accelerator, AWS Organizations, and multi-account architecture • Cloud migration experience; large-scale, multi-wave migrations are a strong plus • Practical experience with rehost and replatform migrations • Experience or strong working knowledge of AWS Transform for VMware is a significant plus • Hands-on experience with AWS Migration Hub, AWS Application Migration Service (MGN), and VM Import/Export • Strong AWS networking fundamentals, including VPC design, routing, Transit Gateway, Direct Connect/VPN, and DNS • Infrastructure as Code experience with Terraform and AWS CDK • At least one scripting language: Python, Bash, or PowerShell • Current ability to review code and IaC • Current AWS certification required • AWS Solutions Architect – Professional or DevOps Engineer – Professional preferred
