📋 Description

• Ensure customer satisfaction across all aspects of the job • Increase throughput and decrease downtime for customer instrumentation • Perform regular preventive maintenance and upgrades • Advocate for internal and external customers • Respond promptly to customer needs with an emphasis on first-time fixes • Manage customer accounts and identify opportunities to add value through services, reagents, consumables, equipment leads, and service on non-agreement instruments • Build and grow strong customer relationships • Contribute to individual and district revenue success • Support field service maintenance agreement growth through monthly recurring billing • Partner with Sales through lead-generation initiatives • Drive annual revenue targets and achieve expected year-over-year growth of 8–10% • Travel throughout the Chicago area and surrounding suburbs to service customers

🎯 Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED with 3+ years Field Service experience OR Associate’s degree in mechanical or electrical engineering, biological or life science, a similar discipline, or equivalent military experience • Experience using standard test equipment to troubleshoot and service instrumentation • Excellent customer communication skills, with the ability to clearly convey information and build strong relationships • Ability to travel up to 50%, including driving and occasional flying with potential overnight stays • Ability to lift 50 pounds • Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record • Bachelor’s degree in a scientific discipline is a plus • Repair field service experience in a related field or industry is a plus • High computer literacy, including Microsoft Office Suite, PowerBI, Sales Force, and ServiceMax, is a plus
