📋 Description

• Design, build, automate, and operate secure, scalable Azure cloud infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code • Embed governance, compliance, security, data quality, and auditability by design • Develop and maintain the platform engineering ecosystem, including CI/CD pipelines, self-service capabilities, and resource provisioning frameworks • Enable data scientists and engineers to access compute, data, and ML resources safely without deep infrastructure expertise • Establish and manage platform operations, including observability, monitoring, alerting, reliability practices, support models, and operational processes • Evaluate, integrate, and optimize emerging technologies and services • Provide practical recommendations and implement modern tooling to enhance platform capabilities, scalability, and user experience • Collaborate with platform leadership, engineering teams, and internal customers to translate requirements into well-engineered solutions • Mentor junior engineers, contribute to technical standards and documentation, and foster technical excellence, continuous learning, and collaboration • Report to the Senior Director, Data and AI Platform in the Chief Information Officer (CIO) Office

🎯 Requirements

• 5+ years of software, platform, or infrastructure engineering experience, including hands-on data and/or AI/ML infrastructure work • CS/Engineering degree or equivalent practical experience • Deep, hands-on expertise with at least one major cloud platform (AWS or Azure) • Working familiarity with multi-cloud environments and their data and AI services • Strong experience with Infrastructure as Code, such as Terraform or Pulumi • Experience with CI/CD tooling, such as GitHub Actions or GitLab CI • Experience with containerization/orchestration, including Docker and Kubernetes • Proficiency in at least one language: Python, Go, or Bash • Solid security and networking fundamentals for provisioning secure cloud resources • Track record operating production systems, including monitoring, observability, incident response, and reliability practices • Ability to set technical direction at platform scale, drive cross-team architecture and design decisions, establish standards, and mentor engineers • Ability to travel up to 10% • Eligible to work remotely from the United States
