📋 Description

• Lead platform engineering, operations, reliability, supportability, and scalability of data infrastructure and data pipelines • Make decisions on technical stacks, implementation strategies, operational practices, strategic roadmaps, and team development • Drive initiatives to enhance reliability, scalability, and efficiency; maintain SLAs; reduce costs; promote automation; and improve data workflows • Collaborate cross-functionally to support the company’s analytics and strategic business goals • Lead global teams responsible for the company’s data platforms and operations • Focus on platform and pipeline engineering and operations, incident management, operational excellence, system monitoring, automation, observability, and strategic improvement • Lead team development and hiring

🎯 Requirements

• Master’s degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Information Systems or related field of study • 4 years of experience in any combination of data operations, data engineering, and data analyst positions • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Information Systems or related field of study and 6 years of progressive experience may be accepted in lieu of a Master’s degree and 4 years of experience • 2 years of experience leading technical teams • Experience designing, building, and optimizing scalable data pipelines and microservice architectures • Experience managing production support processes, SLAs, on-call rotations, and incident escalations • Experience providing production support for data platforms and ELT/ETL pipelines • Experience with SQL, Python, and data engineering frameworks including dbt • Experience implementing monitoring, observability frameworks, and operational analytics solutions • Experience with cloud cost optimization, infrastructure efficiency, and performance tuning • Experience troubleshooting pipeline failures, job delays, and platform incidents • Experience coordinating cross-functional incident response and leading RCA documentation and follow-up • Experience with security, compliance, and access control in data operations • Experience fostering collaborative relationships with data engineering, analytics, and business leadership teams • Any and all experience may be gained concurrently
